Instruction to Authors
Manuscript preparation, formatting, and submission guidelines

These guidelines provide instructions for preparing and submitting manuscripts to Regula Fidei: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Authors are expected to follow the journal's official manuscript template and submission requirements. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English and must demonstrate academic quality, clarity of argument, and relevance to the journal's focus and scope.

1. Language and Manuscript Format

Manuscripts may be submitted in Indonesian or English. Indonesian manuscripts must follow the applicable Indonesian spelling conventions (EYD), while English manuscripts must use standard English grammar and academic language.

All manuscripts must follow the official journal template. The principal formatting requirements are summarized below.

Important: Authors must use the official manuscript template for the exact margin settings, title formatting, heading styles, and other layout details.
2. Manuscript Length and Title
Manuscript Length

Research articles should contain approximately 5,000–12,000 words, including footnotes and appendices, in accordance with the journal's author guidelines.

Title

The title must not exceed 15 words. It should be concise, informative, and clearly reflect the main phenomenon or subject of the article.

3. Author Information

The full name of each author must appear below the article title without academic degrees. Author affiliations must be clearly indicated. The corresponding author's email address must also be provided in accordance with the official manuscript template.

4. Abstract and Keywords
Abstract

The manuscript must include an abstract in both Indonesian and English. According to the existing author guidelines, the Indonesian abstract must not exceed 250 words, while the English abstract must not exceed 150 words.

Abstracts should clearly present the purpose of the study, research method, principal findings, and conclusion. They must not contain references, mathematical equations, or uncommon abbreviations. Authors must check the abstract formatting against the official manuscript template.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords that represent the main concepts of the article. Keywords may identify the research method, phenomenon, object of study, or principal application.

5. Article Structure

Research articles should be organized logically and follow the structure and heading styles specified in the official manuscript template. The following components should be included where applicable:

Introduction
Presents the research background, problem, relevant literature, research gap, objectives, and contribution.
Research Method
Explains the research approach, data or literature sources, data collection procedures, and analytical methods, as relevant to the study.
Results and Discussion
Presents the findings and interprets them in relation to the research questions and relevant scholarly literature.
Conclusion
Summarizes the main findings and their implications in relation to the research objectives.
References
Lists all sources cited in the manuscript according to the journal's referencing requirements.

Heading levels, alignment, font size, and other typographical details must follow the official manuscript template.

6. References

Authors must cite relevant scholarly sources and ensure that every in-text citation corresponds to an entry in the reference list. References must be presented in accordance with the journal's prescribed citation and bibliography style.

At least 80% of the primary sources should be recent publications, as stated in the journal's existing author guidelines. Authors are encouraged to use relevant scholarly journal articles and other credible academic sources.

Reference consistency
Check author names, publication years, article titles, journal titles, volume and issue numbers, page ranges, and DOI or URL information before submission.
7. Book Reviews

Book reviews should contain 500–1,000 words. Complete bibliographic information for the book under review must be presented at the beginning of the review. The review should provide a critical and balanced assessment of the book's main arguments, contributions, strengths, and limitations, particularly in relation to Christian Religious Education and relevant theological or educational scholarship.

8. Submission and Peer Review

Manuscripts are submitted through the journal's online submission system. All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's focus and scope and their compliance with the submission requirements.

Manuscripts that proceed to review undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors receive editorial decisions and reviewer feedback through the editor. The Editorial Board may accept a manuscript, request revisions, undertake editorial corrections, or reject a submission.
